Paul Bastard, MD, PhD
Paul Bastard, MD-PhD, is currently working in the Pediatric Hematology and Immunology department of Necker Hospital for Sick Children (AP-HP, Paris, France), while also doing research the laboratory of Human Genetics of infectious diseases, at the Imagine Institute (University of Paris Cité, INSERM) and the Rockefeller University (New York, USA).
From 2020 onwards, he identified the role of auto-Abs to type I IFNs in the pathogenesis of more than 15% of cases of life-threatening COVID-19 pneumonia, and in several other severe viral diseases.
His research currently focuses on the causes and consequences of autoantibodies against type I interferons and on the genetic determinants of myasthenia gravis.

Rozen Le Panse, PhD
Rozen Le Panse is a Director of Research at the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research, France) and a team leader at the Center of Research in Myology (Sorbonne University/INSERM) at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. She holds a PhD in molecular and cellular biology and specializes in molecular and cellular signaling in various pathophysiological contexts. Since 2001, her research activities have focused on understanding the etiological and pathophysiological mechanisms involved in autoimmune myasthenia gravis.
Her research team is actively involved in the search for new therapeutic approaches using different experimental models. In collaboration with clinicians working on myasthenia gravis, the team is also investigating new cellular and molecular biomarkers for patient follow-up using advanced technological approaches.

Jacques Fellay, MD, PhD
Jacques Fellay is a medical doctor and researcher with expertise in human genomics, data sciences, infectious diseases, and personalized health. He is full Professor at EPFL School of Life Sciences and University of Lausanne, and the founding Director of Precision Medicine at Lausanne University Hospital.
His research focuses on deciphering the molecular foundations of individual variations in immunity and infection responses, with the ultimate goal of translating genomic discoveries into clinical applications.
